Thailand-based ONYX Hospitality Group has opened the first football themed hotel in Thailand; called Amari Buriram United

The 60-room property is located in the North Eastern province of Buriram in Thailand and adjacent to the Thunder Castle Stadium, home to the celebrated local team, Buriram United. The hotel is owned by Buriram United Sport Hotel Co., Ltd and is operated by ONYX Hospitality Group under the Amari brand.

Designed by I’ll Design Studio, the same architects as the neighbouring Thunder Castle stadium, Amari Buriram pays tribute to football with the hotel design modelled on a sports stadium and most rooms looking onto a central area which includes a mini football field and swimming pool. Featuring 44 superior rooms, 14 deluxe rooms and two suites ranging from 36 to 118 square metres in size, the rooms are furnished in the crimson blue and white of the football team’s home kit and offers ‘players changing room’ style bathrooms.

Other highlights of this foorball themed hotel include the hotel’s two bars and all day dining themed restaurant; Kick Off, as well as a range of recreational facilities at the stadium, including tennis courts, a jogging track, basketball court and a fully equipped gymnasium.

Amari Buriram United also offers thoughtful signature services designed to introduce guests to the world of Amari and the destination of Buriram. An Amari Host is on hand to connect guests to local culture through visiting nearby attractions like Phanom Rung Historical Park and Prasat Ban Khok Ngio, or getting tickets to a football match.

Opening rates for the Football themed hotel start from approximately £21 (1,111 Thai Baht) per room, per night, excluding tax and service charge, subject to room availability, available until 28 February 2014. To book visit www.amari.com.
