Sophie Ibbotson

 

Sophie Ibbotson is a travel writer, adventurer, and tourism development consultant to governments and the World Bank. She’s led three expeditions to Afghanistan, broke the world altitude record for journey by auto-rickshaw, and wrote the first guidebook to newly independent South Sudan. Sophie’s the author of five Bradt Travel Guides, has contributed to books for Lonely Planet, Rough Guides, and Insight Guides, and has written articles for The Economist, Financial Times, and Daily Telegraph, amongst others.
