India has become one of the most popular tourist destinations particularly for independent travellers. While general tourism numbers have risen by 150% over the last 10 years it is in the independent sector where the biggest growth lies and as Bamba Experience launches hop-on-hop-off routes in India, the company is set to take full advantage.

In response to the huge surge in tourism, Bamba Experience has created nine different overland journeys from Agra to Ajmer and Jaipur to Jodhpur for travellers who want to experience a taste of the real India.

The routes take in the capital Delhi, Agra for an opportunity to visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Taj Mahal, Jaipur for a trip to India’s Pink City, Pushkar for an optional camel safari, and Jodhpur, where travellers will experience rural Rajasthan life with local guides.

Those seeking something a bit more active can take in trekking in the Himalayas with Bamba’s route connecting Delhi to Katmandu in Nepal.

Bamba’s unique HOHO adventures offer travellers the ultimate in flexibility. Unlike group tours, which restrict travellers to a regimented itinerary, Bamba guarantees its travellers reputable and safe transport options, while allowing them the flexibility of choosing to stay in destinations for as little or long as they want.

With multiple departures from every location each day, travellers can quite literally hop-on and hop-off. A travel pass with Bamba also includes additional cultural excursions, but again, these are designed with complete flexibility in mind. All Bamba’s cultural excursions and accommodation options are provided by members of local families, ensuring an authentic experience and sustainable tourism that feeds back into the local community.

Armin Roelcke, Chief Happiness Officer for Asia said, “Everyone who works at Bamba lives and breathes travel and as a team, India is one of our favourite destinations. At Bamba we passionately believe in the importance of travel for self-discovery so to be able to open routes in India and allow travellers to engage with this awe inspiring country is a huge milestone for us.”
