Popular Tenerife is to become even more accessible to UK holiday-makers with British Airways announcing its first ever direct flight route from London Heathrow to Tenerife. The new service will be available from 21st October to 24th.
The new weekly flight sets off at 6.45am every Saturday morning and lands at 11.15am local time. The new addition from London Heathrow follows the huge success of the London Gatwick flights from British Airways which also fly to Tenerife South Airport.
Alberto Bernabé, Tourism Minister for the Tenerife Island Government, said: “We are extremely pleased with the new British Airways flight route from London Heathrow to Tenerife South airport. The announcement of this new service comes at a great time for us as last year saw visitor arrivals from the UK exceed 2 million for the very first time and this year’s arrivals are already showing an increase on these impressive results.”
