Region Rebranded Costa Barcelona

The Catalan region rebranded Costa Barcelona. The Catalan Tourist Board and the Barcelona Province Tourist Board, have now embarked on a five month campaign to drive awareness of the Costa Barcelona in the UK market.

Costa Barcelona is managed by the Barcelona Province Tourist Board and it’s included in the Province of Barcelona tourism brand ‘Barcelona is much more’.

The new tourism brand Costa Barcelona replaced two existing brands in the coastal province of Barcelona: Barcelona-Maresme Coast, north of the capital and Costa del Garraf in the south. With this new brand the Catalan coast is divided into three areas: Costa Brava at the north, Costa Daurada at the south and Costa Barcelona in the middle.

To rebrand a region is no easy task, but it makes sense to create another Costa brand in line with Spain’s other famous Costas like Costa Brava, Costa del Sol and Costa Blanca.
