Virgin Hotels introduces its new digital personal assistant
The new chain of lifestyle hotels launched by Virgin has begun life with the opening of its first property in Chicago.with Nashville following in 2016 and New York in 2017. Promising a whole new way of providing hospitality, Virgin Hotels has also embraced the latest technology to enhance guest experiences by introducing Lucy, the Virgin Hotels digital assistant.
Lucy is a free mobile app which will turn your phone into an in-room personal assistant fulfilling requests for services and amenities, functioning as the room thermostat, streaming personal content and more. Lucy will put many aspects of the hotel experience at guests’ fingertips, before during and after their stay. Functions include: –

Adjust room climate within the Chamber
Stream personal content onto guestroom televisions
Video and Audio on Demand curated by Virgin
Transform a guest’s smart phone into the TV remote

Virgin Hotels pledges to be different and will offer many innovative guest features such as creating a dressing room and a sleeping lounge within every room (or Chamber as the Virgin folk call it) separated by a sliding set of privacy doors; custom designed hybrid beds which can vary positions; full fast and free broadband and transparent charging and dog friendly rooms.
