04/12/2014 by .

Indulge in an elegant afternoon tea dunking silken leaf laden pyramids in a posh hotel and it’s very likely you’ll be tasting Newby tea, a company well versed in supplying luxury hotels. Well now you can have that same experience at home with the news that eight of the award winning Newby tea range can be found on the shelves at a Waitrose near you.

English Breakfast, Earl Grey, Masala Chai, Peppermint, Chamomile, Rooibos Orange, Jasmine Princess and Kan-Junga are available in striking boxes of 15 individual biodegradable silky pyramids, wrapped in triple layer foil to keep those precious leaves fresh and full of flavour.

The silken pyramid range has won numerous taste awards the English Breakfast and Peppermint in particular. The Newby secret is simply sourcing fine ethical leaves in prime season and blending and preserving them to deliver full flavour first and second flush teas.

It’s a process that has earned them over 28 taste awards across north America.

This might be a perfect Christmas gift option, (there are also exclusive 100g gourmet tea caddies available)  or an opportunity to try and perfect that hotel afternoon tea experience. Either way, just follow the instructions on each bag and you’re bound to replicate an authentic fine tea flavour in the comfort of your own lounge.

You’ll just have to make your own cucumber sandwiches!

Where can I buy Newby Tea?
