Privately owned and just one hour from Geneva airport, Villa Rose Hotel in Samoëns, is opening its fully restored doors in time for the start of the Grand Massif ski season. This recently renovated former 1900s period house is a luxury boutique hotel offering an unusual flexible proposition: the property can be booked on a per room basis or as a complete luxury 6 bedroom villa.

Samoëns is something of a hidden secret by those in the know, for skiers looking for an authentic Savoyard experience – as well as world class skiing, snowboarding and plenty of other winter activities.  Perhaps a more intimate alternative to its better known Alpine neighbours, at 1,600 metres the Samoëns ski area enjoys snow coverage throughout the season and is renowned for its spring skiing. The ancient village, with its legendary stonemasons, is the only French alpine resort to be classified as a national heritage site.  Its traffic-free square and cobbled streets lined with stone and timber buildings, are not short of ski boutiques and specialist shops offering alpine décor, local charcuteries, cheese, wine, pâtisseries and chocolatiers.
