Known as the Brazilian St Tropez, the charming town of Buzios have only 30.000 inhabitants…and almost 200 restaurants! The MenuBuzios app satisfies Brazilian foodies and helps tourists to pick the best restaurants in town.

The idyllic peninsula of Buzios, just two hours drive from Rio de Janeiro city became famous in the early 60 ́s after French actress Brigitte Bardot “discovered” the village. Since them Buzios turned a must see destination for tourists, not only for its picturesque sea side resorts but also for its variety of fine restaurants, bars and cafes. Buzios hosts its own Food Festival, attracting over 30.000 food enthusiasts to town every year and hosts almost 200 restaurants in its little village. However, for the thousands foreigners that visit the city every year though, finding a restaurant in Buzios is not always an easy task: the complicated (and sometimes lack of) street signage can sometimes be a puzzle for those who do not speak Portuguese. Menu Buzios comes to rescue all foodies with a guide that compiles restaurants and bars by genre, type of food, price and occasion, providing full info about each place and – what ́s best – a GPS map for you to get safe and sound to each location.

Menu Buzios was created by a couple passionate about food and, of course, Buzios: Gracie Croce and Fred Barros (a travel journalist and a digital programmer) decided to put an end to the tourists ́ misery by launching the app MenuBuzios. The app has been receiving great reviews by the Brazilian press and it is ready for its international launch.

The app can be accessed via the MenuBuzios website  and comes in three different languages – Portuguese, English and Spanish – and has over 140 restaurants in its database. A very smart filter of results helps finding the best spots, such as bars, family friendly places, romantic options and delivery.

Founder Gracie Croce comments:   “We noticed there was no guide to help tourists around this very popular town, and decided to help visitants to understand that there ́s more to the Buzios than its high street, called Rua das Pedras. It’s a vibrant place for great food, with restaurants serving cuisines from all over the world”,

Whether you are looking for a Thai restaurant in Buzios, a fine Argentine steak, a beach bar overlooking the sea for sundowners or simply a pizza delivered at your hotel, the app gives you all the answers. Also follow MenuBuzios social media on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, and get suggestions of dishes you have to try while in town, major events happening, promotions and important information about Buzios.
