In a £145 million overhaul  the frequent non-stop service between London Victoria and Gatwick Airport looks a lot different these days. Replacing the 30 year old rolling stock,  27 new trains and 108 new carriages form the main face lift for the Gatwick Express.

The service which runs on normal days, every 15 minutes, will provide a much more comfortable ride during the 30 minute journey with more tables, more luggage space and better air conditioning.

The list of added benefits for passengers includes:

108 brand new carriages

More First Class seats and more tables in Express Class

Power sockets throughout to charge your tech

On-train Wi-Fi – handy for live flight departures,

Brighter and lighter, with reading lamps above every seat

Dedicated luggage racks in every carriage

2×2 seating with more leg room and under-seat storage

Accessible toilets and baby changers

Improved on-board announcements and info in several languages

Better air-con for more comfort

Two double doors per carriage – plus more space around them to help you get on and off the train with luggage.
